1.
Moving his mouth to her ear he whispered, “M’Lady. You are usually dressed most suitably for every occasion.” He nibbled her earlobe and continued, “At the moment, however, you seem to be somewhat overdressed . . . don’t you think?”
2.
Long minutes later with his body completely spent he regrettably removed himself from the warmth of her body, feeling like he’d forever lost part of himself to her on this night.
3.
Obi-Wan blushed slightly and smiled. "Well, I didn't until meditation today. It seems that even while unconscious, I'm drawn to you. The Force wants us together Padmé, and if my Master taught me anything, it was not to deny the will of the Force -- despite what the Council or the Code says."
4.
Needing air, she pulled away and looked once again at Obi-Wan. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to explode. She barely registered that the chant was still going on and picking up a faster beat. All she knew was that she couldn’t have enough of the man in front of her and she wanted to totally let go.
5.
“Tell me why you’re here.” He requested gently.
“Because.” The word came out so softly that Padmé herself barely heard it. “Because I’m in love with you.”
Blue-gray eyes widened as Obi-Wan hesitantly stepped away, turning his back on the queen, a hand immediately brushing up to cover his large and ecstatic smile.
This was too good to be true! But still, he couldn’t let her off that easily, and so he turned back around, forcing a frown on his face once more.
6.
And when they pulled away and looked into each other’s eyes in a new light, another hope for a distant future, there was hardly silence, yet hardly sound…
7.
“Obi, I love you.” She murmured. It was enough to drive him over the edge, and he kissed her, plunging his tongue into her mouth, awash with passion.
8.
Hands still entwined, Obi-Wan and Padmé walked forward to look out the viewport of the assault ship, unsure of what the future would hold for them, the dangers they would face. But one thing they were certain of, they could face anything as long as they were together.
9.
"I do want you," she said. "I need you, Obi-Wan." The desperation in her voice, the raw emotion of it, was unfamiliar to her and alarming in its newness.
"You have me," he breathed. "I'm yours. Always." His heart broke a little with his own words, realizing that he would never truly have her, for she belonged to another.
10.
Obi-Wan, however, revealed a look of complete relief and happiness, reaching out and drawing the beautiful young senator into his arms.
“Darling, that’s in the past. You really need to learn to let things go.”
11.
He turned his head around to look at me and I could see a laugh dance in his eyes. I let go of his shoulders and went to sit on his lap, treading my fingers in his hair in a way I knew he found pleasurable. He kept his hair short on the back, longer on the top and some silver strands had appeared near his temples, due more to the war and the tension it caused than to his age.
12.
He started to lead the way out of the room, but paused midstep. He turned back to Padme with a wicked grin on his face. “Eat well tonight. You’ll need your energy.” With that, he turned and walked out the door.
13.
“Mom? Would you tell me a story?”
“Didn’t your father already do that?”
“No.” Was the innocent reply as large blue-green eyes of the nine-year-old girl looked imploringly at her mother, but Padmé wasn’t falling for it.
14.
Padmé smiled wickedly. “Well, that’s the point of seduction. Let it go, Obi-Wan. I know you love me…”
15.
“They say that it’s the early Gungan who gets the gooberfish.” The older man stated and Obi-Wan squeezed his eyes shut against the overwhelming deja-vu.
16.
He spun around quickly, “Two weeks! And as usual you couldn’t talk to me about it right! I sensed something was troubling you and yet again you don’t confide in me, you didn’t confide in me about giving up Luke and Leia and now you hold off telling me I’m going to be a father.”
17.
“Obi-Wan…this is our daughter…I don’t think either one of us can be the ‘strong one’ in this…this is our family! We love our children…we love and because we love we will be hurt, love strips away defenses. It’s just the way it is, love is powerful it can heal, it can tear apart…You loved Anakin I know that, and that’s why it hurts. You love Leia…that’s why this hurts. It doesn’t mean you’re weak it just means your human…The only way we are going to get through this is together…And we will, we will get through this!”
18.
“The Force knew, but stubborn as I am I ignored it. You are not an attachment to me, Padme, and I could never see you as one. You are someone who filled me with laughter, joy, lust, peace and warmth. But most of all a love that is incorruptible, pure like nothing I have ever experienced, and it scared me. Again, the Force had to correct me, and it did. And now I know my feelings for you are right and good.”
19.
“When briefing the council on this mission, leave out the part about fu**ing six times in one night, you should.”
20.
Obi-Wan grinned. “Has anyone ever told you that you would make an excellent interrogator?”
“Just shut up and kiss me.”
21.
“I was the Pure One. The prophecy further explains that only the Pure One can fully bring balance. You see Padmé; when both Chosen and Pure are born, only time will tell which side each pledges their loyalty. In the end, only one will triumph.” A heavy sigh. “Thus, I defeated Anakin. He will never harm us again.”
22.
Her mouth was already open and reaching for Obi-Wan's as he spoke, his voice so deep that its rumbling made her nipples harden further against his chest as he ground out, “Padmé, I want- darling, I can’t wait any longer…”Her moaned “Good,” was lost in lips and teeth and tongues and the sound of her nightgown tearing.
23.
“You haven’t kissed me like that in weeks.”
“Well. I’m just making up for lost time.” Obi-Wan replied as he dropped a kiss to the top of her head and keeping one arm about her waist, turned them both to watch the sunset.
24.
“Don’t ask questions. Just live in the moment.”
A broad smile appears on his face at the use of one of his Master’s favorite statements. He wouldn’t be surprised if Qui-Gon somehow had a hand in this, but he’d be damned if he was going to waste the opportunity analyzing it..
25.
Padmé took the ribbon away and then lifted the lid off the box. What she saw made her gasp. An instant later, Anakin almost gasped as well as her present flew out of the box. It—or rather, they, as there were more than one—were some kind of insect. They looked like butterflies, but the wings glowed with a golden light and the bodies were white, so the insects stood out in stark contrast to the dark night sky. As they soared higher into the sky, they resembled large, twinkling stars.
