The release of the new Star Wars *coughs* Postquels ( ) could give us an opportunity to get more Obidala written into the canon. Even though the SW canon has changed dramatically. As such . . . How would you write Obidala into the new trilogy and expanded universe?Do try to be wary of adding spoilers though, for those friends who may not have seen the new film. But you can always use a font color change to hide your spoilers. Something like this where readers have to highlight to see what's typed: [ SEE??]

Well, I'd change the parentage of certain characters for starters. And Obi-Wan and Padmé would certainly live on through the originals. I can see them being the power couple of the Alliance, restarting the Order and the Republic. Possibly Padmé as Chancellor, may Obi-Wan as Head or a Grand Master of the Order, although I think he's too modest to accept leadership unless given no choice in the matter.
As I still haven't seen Episode VII, I don't think this is too spoilery... if that's a word! My idea of the history of Star Wars after the original trilogy tends to come from the Expanded Universe book, or other fanfics.

We personally loved the new Star Wars. In our shipping minds we see Obidala everywhere. We have heard many things on the internet about how Ewan should get his own set of movies about his solitude on Tatooine. And in our minds Padme's force ghost is with him, morbid we know.

That's not morbid! That's romantic! Lol . . . Maybe I'm as morbid as you guys. I've been sitting here wracking my brain. And the truth is, I don't really know how they should include it at this point. Maybe the should first start by SPOILER: [ Including her in the first place! I mean Vader's shadow looms large over the whole film, as it should. But I just hope they don't forget her. Her legacy, not just as the mother of the twins, but as a prominent public servant should certainly be felt the galaxy over. Even after the fall of the Empire. Maybe rediscovering her could come from Obi-Wan's force ghost? . . . HEY! I thought of something! Yay! Lol]

*pops in with ashamed expression*
I really loved Episode VII and, of course, if I could change anything it would affect the OT as well. Because Luke and Leia would be Obi-Wan's children, not Anakin's.
That being said, I am working on...other ways to make sure both of them are in the picture for the Episode VII characters.

A Jim Caviezel gif? I am flattered. :-) Ashamed because I wasn't able to contribute anything at all this year, but flattered. And really happy to see a Jim Caviezel gif.

Love you, Mel. Don't ever feel bad about that. It's okay. "Presence" means more than "presents." Lol.

So funny xD And I completely agree with Danielle on parentage. The only problem with that is it conflicts with my Reylo shipping. It poses a problem if Luke and Leia were born of Obi-Wan and Padmé and Rey is a Kenobi... well then Reylo couldn't possibly work. O.O Gaaah.. hopefully I didn't give away spoilers

Those of you who have seen my "Rey's Vision" vid know where I stand on this ^^ Three words: Rey Amidala Kenobi lol Granted there are a few - ok several- things which conflict with Rey being the result of Obidala but one can dream. Plus, I'm sticking to the Rey Kenobi theory regardless!

I mean there are some logistical flaws but it's science fiction! Pretty much anything is possible in science fiction. Stored genetic material could be combined to create what would be seen as a "perfect jedi" . . . SPOILER: [especially after what happens with Kylo and the destruction of the first generation of new Jedi that Luke was training. They would need someone who was morally incorruptible and incredibly strong with the Force.]
