So you've already been enraptured by the videos, gazed in awe at the art and immersed yourself so fully in the fics that you feel you've been transported to another world only to be left wanting more when you come to the end? FEAR NOT! There's still more to do.
Step inside, pull up a chair and get comfy. Wait no, not that chair. That's the lumpy one that's as hard as rock. The last visitor to arrive will get that, but since you're here first you get the pick of any chair you'd like. The one over there to the right is particularly comfy. I'll give you a moment to get settled.
Ready? Okay. Let's begin.
Welcome to Saturday's Free Discussion Thread!
I shake you warmly by the hand.
Feel free to discuss anything and everything you'd like here. Not Star Wars related no problem!
Say you want to discuss the upcoming Academy Awards and think that Ben Affleck totally got snubbed by the Academy when he didn't receive a nomination for Best Director for his work on Argo. Then you've come to the right place!
Maybe you'd rather discuss how you are dying for the next Walking Dead episode to air so you can find out if Rick has finally gone off the deep end. You're more than welcome to do so!
Anything and everything goes here. Don't worry about a topic being too 'out there' or 'off the wall', we've got ourselves quite the dynamic bunch here. You are sure to find someone here that you can share a talking point or two with.
So don't be shy, come on by and give it a try!

Er, no one else is around yet Um, has anyone seen the Hobbit? I really want to talk about that. Richard Armitage is so freaking beautiful I love him to bits, as if no one's noticed that yet He makes me smile. ;D

I love the hobbit. I was so excited to see Richard, because I already loved him for his role as Guy of Gisborne in the tv series Robin Hood.

I loved the Hobbit! I can't wait to see the next part. It's funny. I play lots of fantasy RPGs and there's always the option to be a dwarf. I had never, never even thought about being a dwarf until I saw the Hobbit. That movie made it cool to be a dwarf! LoL!
And Richard? Oh my! *fans self* He is one hunk of a handsome man.

The only fantasy rpg computer game I've ever been a dwarf in is dragon age. :-P

Dragon Age! Yes that's the one. First of all, high fives for finding a fellow Dragon Age fan! *high fives* I always thought the story was incredibly compelling for the dwarves, but the thought of actually being one never really appealed to me. The dwarves are always the butt of the jokes so it was never something I wanted to do. The Hobbit showed me the error of my ways. Oh my gosh! Dwarves are totally awesome! And just cause I can....

Yes, I love dragon age, it's one of my favourite games ever! It's always great to meet a fellow fan. And I really recommend the dwarf noble origin story, it's great. :-P

I have been meaning to give that one a try. I'm a City Elf in my heart. *points to .gif below* But after I finish up my current Skyrim playthrough, I plan on going back and doing the Dwarf Noble storyline.

Oh yes that origin is truly brilliant as well, one of my favourites. I'm also playing skyrim at the moment. :-P just started over again.

HaHa! Me too! This is my second playthrough. I'm a console gamer (PS3) and the first time through I missed two trophies and so I'm going back and trying to get them. They also finally released the DLC to us so it works out well that I'm still working my way through it.

HUZZAH for epic video game RPG discussion! Sounds like you're a buddyhead from way back, Kate. Woman after my own heart. *calls out*Dalish elves in the hizzaow?? No? Really? No one? *sighs* I guess it's just me then. Lol.

I don't think I could do a Dalish playthrough now...I feel like I'd be stepping on Rose's toes and I know through Josias that that is not a wise thing to do.

LOL! Well you'll just have to do what I did with Josias and play *as* her. Which reminds me . . . I really need to help Josias get to the Circle of Magi. I think that's where I left off.

I'm still trying to finish my playthrough of my first ever male warden. I just like playing female heroes so much that I almost never pay any attention to the male protagonists. And I tend to love Bioware games in general, though I'm kind of worried about the direction they're heading in with Dragon Age 2 and the ending of Mass Effect 3 ... But I guess I'll reserve my judgment until I've played Dragon Age 3.

Rosalie? We've found our long lost sister!
I live, breath and dream Bioware. They are pretty amazing. I'm with you. I'm worried about DA3 as well. DA2 really let me down, so I'm hoping that they make different choices for DA3.
